This website is all about encouraging your faith in Christ Jesus. It's titled "Path of the Blessing" because originally I wanted believers to understand what we gain when we enter into relationship with Jesus.
As of late, my original intent has grown to include sorrow, loss, and pain. These three things are a part of life and shouldn't be ignored. In fact, if anything, they should be talked about more frequently because of the hope that we as believers have.
Brothers and sisters, we do not want you to be uninformed about those who sleep in death, so that you do not grieve like the rest of mankind, who have no hope. 1 Thessalonians 4:13 NIV
Hope.
Our world has always been a bit chaotic and this year so far is another crazy year. We have the Coronavirus, impeachment trial, global earthquakes, fires, peace trying to be made in Israel, and Kobe Bryant's death amongst the death of countless others.
Hope.
This is the time for the church to bring hope in a bold way. This is the time for us to NOT shrink back for fear of the future. As believers we are equipped with EVERYTHING good to face every challenge no matter what the outcome.
Now may the God of peace, who through the blood of the eternal covenant brought back from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great Shepherd of the sheep, equip you with everything good for doing his will, and may he work in us what is pleasing to him, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen. Hebrews 13:20-21 NIV
Hope.
When we were told that our daughter had a rare cancer that would most likely take her life in 8 months, we CHOSE not to allow fear to dominate our actions. Yes, we totally felt the emotions of what we were going through, but we didn't want those emotions to dominate our mind; our decisions.
As believers we have the hope of eternal life.
That really is enough of a blessing in and of itself isn't it?
