"...He entered a house and did not want anyone to know it; yet he could not keep his presence secret." Mark 7:24
In the referenced verse above, Jesus' presence drew a woman to him who was desperate for her daughter's healing in which she contended for and received.
Jesus wasn't there with the intention of ministering to this Greek woman. However, his Presence had a purpose, and it was focused on someone unexpected.
His Presence was tied to his purpose in that ordinary moment, which then turned the ordinary into extraordinary.
How do you know if your life is on track to fulfill your purpose daily?
Look for these 3 signs:
The Presence attracts people
The Presence attracts purpose
The Presence displays power
We are a house that the Presence of God flows through. When we yield our ideas and emotions to his presence and allow God to do what he wants in the ordinary moments of life, that's when we'll get the chance to experience who God is and really partner with him and his purpose.
God's presence is so powerful that it permeates like a beautiful fragrance that cannot be hidden.
Jesus, whether he knew it or not, had a purpose to minister to that specific woman and her daughter the moment he walked through the door. The Presence had an agenda of restoration to carry out.
I wonder what purpose the Presence has planned for you and I today?
Prayer for today:
Jesus, turn my ordinary into extraordinary. I want the aroma of your Presence to permeate my life. I want the lost, the broken, and the hurting to be drawn to you through me to minister restoration. I yield myself to your plan and purpose for my life today. Let your Presence take liberty to flow through me. Amen.
