Have you ever said to yourself, "I never imagined this would be my life"? This is what I said to myself this morning while I floated in my pool staring up at the sky.
Today I'm talking about unexpected negative life experiences that shift your world.
Ever had one of those?
I never thought that my daughter would die at the age of 19. I never imagined that I wouldn't be living the rest of my life on Earth without watching her continue to grow up, get married, and have children.
Our little family of four was loving God, in relationship with Jesus and yet we were confronted with cancer.
Yes, you can be on the right path, the path of blessing, and still go through total CRAP. -debated about saying that word, but I decided that it's my blog so I'm going to go ahead and say it.
CRAP. That's right. Right there on your path; your blessed path that you've been faithfully following.
What does this shift look like?
For some of you, you've married someone and discovered afterwards that they have addiction issues
you might be going through a loss of some kind -a job, a loved one, a friendship, or a marriage.
you or someone you love has just been diagnosed with a terminal illness
you're in an abusive relationship.
All of these things are world shifting.

Why do bad things happen to good people? This is the question that all of us contemplate at some point in our lives.
I think I have a grasp on that answer...you know, the whole thing about how we live in a fallen world full of sin and the negative effects of that sinful world on our lives.
But does that answer really help?
I don't think it's enough because I still ask the question "why" and yet it's what we have.
It doesn't restore the shift in our world by bringing back what was removed bu
